Lead Pastor
Pastor John & Leah Kohr
Pastor John and Leah come to Newcomerstown from Mt Sterling, Kentucky where they served for 10 years. They knew God was calling and are delighted to be at Newcomerstown Church of the Nazarene. "This church has big dreams to reach the community for Christ and nothing is impossible for our big God", said Pastor John.

They are a blended family with five adult children. And they are proud grandparents of eight. In their spare time, they are avid readers, enjoy hiking, and love to travel. In Columbus, Ohio for 25 years , they are big Buckeye fans. Most evenings you will find them watching British detective shows with their dogs Henry and Dexter. Pastor John has a Master of Divinity Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary. Leah holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.

Alexis Arie
Hi, I'm Alexis Arie, Youth Director at Newcomerstown Church of the Nazarene.
I have been in youth ministry for 3 years. I have my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. My passion is working with teens and families!

Sally Snell
Sally, a native of Newcomerstown, has been married to her high school sweetheart Terry for 45 years. Together they have two grown sons. She’s been involved in our church for many years and enjoys singing on the praise team and decorating the church. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10.

We have been worship leaders since 1990, working with many wonderful people who have been a part of the Praise Team over the years. Married in 1986, we have been blessed with two daughters, a son and one granddaughter. We are thankful the Lord has called us to bring His people into His presence through worship in song.
